Brochure Portion of the Project-You will be choosing a colony to produce a travel brochure. Your brochure should be a tool to try and recruit further settlement in your colony. Be sure to follow the directions carefully in order to receive full credit on this assignment.

Brochure will be graded on content and quality. Make sure each bullet is in the brochure. The brochure needs to be presented in a neat and organized manner. Use your notes, the textbook or any other outside source to gather information.

Think about what’s important:
- Who founded/paid for your colony? (4pts)
- Who are the colonies leaders? (4pts)
- Who was it founded for? (4pts)
- What was the colony founded for? (There are some that were founded for specific reasons) (4 pts)
- What is the land like? (4pts)
- Where there Native Americans in the area? If so, what tribe/are the natives friendly? (4pts)
- How is your colony organized? What type of government? (4pts)
- How did they get $$ or stimulate economy? (4 pts)
- Describe the climate and geographical features in that colony (4 pts)
- Map of where the colony is located also include if it is part of the New England Colonies, Middle Colonies or Southern Colonies. (4pts)
- Think of a characteristic of your colony that might help you create a title for the brochure. For example, people settled in Massachusetts for religious freedom. So a title for the brochure might be "Live and Pray in Massachusetts Bay!" (2pts)
- Use pictures along with words! No one wants to read a brochure that has no illustrations. Make sure the pictures enhance your brochure and are on topic. (4pts)
- Make sure your name is on the brochure (small) (4pts)
- Be creative! Total points possible: 50
