Mr. Liddy's Library
I have been collecting books for the last couple years, so it was finally time to start a class library for the kids. The majority of the books are fiction/general interest, but there are a good number of non-fiction. I think reading is just about the most important thing your kids should be doing everyday. The kids are allowed to borrow any book (not reference books).
The next step... organizing the library. The library is now over 2,200 books, so it was time to put order to disorder. With the help of several 6th and 7th grade Buzz Aldrin students, led by Julia, they have turned a whole lot of books into a library. I also have a new check out system that is working great... Level-It. Every book has been scanned and can be matched to the student borrower. It really helps keep track of who has what and get the books returned.
Not sure if that book hanging around the house is from my library... look for a bright colored sticker on the back with my class info. If it is your book and you are tired of seeing it kick around the house, the library is always looking for donations.
